DESCRIPTION:The triennial symposium was established in 2005 and is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest research\, educational programs\, and technologies available for disinfection\, decontamination\, depopulation\, and disposal. \nThe symposium also serves as an opportunity to learn about managing animal mortalities\, products\, and by-products; research; and education programs\, which include: \n\nStudents conducting graduate research in carcass disposal\, disinfection\, and depopulation\nResearchers from academic or other institutions\nAnyone interested in research and education to manage mortalities for disasters and high consequence livestock disease\n\nThe 8th International Symposium will be held June 29 – July 2\, 2026\, in Stevens Point\, Wisconsin.

From sustainable recreation and wildfire resilience to working lands and economic development\, many of the issues shaping our future require coordinated approaches and strong partnerships. \nThe Co-LAB Summit is a new regional gathering designed to bring together diverse perspectives\, share practical solutions\, and strengthen connections across the Eastern Sierra. \nThis inaugural event will feature local leaders alongside practitioners from other regions who have faced similar challenges. Through keynote presentations\, panel discussions\, workshops\, and networking opportunities\, participants will explore proven approaches\, exchange ideas\, and identify opportunities for regional action around these four core sectors.
